Julie Pearce, also known as Jitterbug, is the woman behind Dante. She was originally born in Central Florida on October 1st, 1980. It was there that she was born and raised.

After several struggles along the way and a move to Duluth, Minnesota in 1998, she finally began making changes in her life and discovering who she really was. This involved discovering that she was a lesbian and a very capable woman.

She entered college at the Fond Du Lac Tribal College in Northern Minnesota, graduated with an AA in liberal arts and an AAS in chemical dependency counseling. Moving on, she entered University of Minnesota Duluth. By 2005, she graduated with a Bachelor degree in Psychology, and a minor in Philosophy.

She's currently back in school working to finish her RN licensure through the Accelerated Bachelor Program at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.

When she's not in school, she's bringing the latest news to people around the Northland.

Julie works as the NBC and CBS affiliate in Duluth as a news Anchor and Reporter.

When she's neither at work or school,  you can find her out and about making life interesting by skydiving, boxing, karate, snowboarding, skiing, urban adventure, rock climbing, kayaking, riding her motorcycle, traveling, bodybuilding, scuba diving, playing music, playing ice hockey, kitesurfing, or just hanging out at the gym.

Recently, she has just completed here certification as a nationally certified wildland firefighter.

Overall, Julie has a love for the extreme. Whether that involves a physical activity or a mental task, she thrives on the challenge and the adrenaline that pumps through her veins.

She has played the piano since 10 years old and composes her own music. She also plays the guitar, the trumpet, and mixes vinyl on a pair of turntables. She enjoys doing black and white photography, doing body piercings, and conducting paranormal research and investigation.

There are many words one could use to describe this creative and unique girl, but the one word that describes her best is free spirit. She goes through life at a beat of her own and makes every moment worth it. However, at the center of this multi-faceted woman is a man. Not a man in the sense of wanting to become one, but a man in the royal sense of a performing drag king named Dante.
